Your actual slot in the listings will be governed by several things;
- By default, Members are displayed in slots corresponding to their Petals Membership type. Unregistered florists are at the bottom then registered and, closest to the top, various types of Full Members.
- You can change 'slot' by changing membership type
- You can also change your profile with Petals and potentially get a position in a higher slot by paying a fee
- Within most higher slots, your position is managed by our fair trading policy so that those most deserving of a return order will float towards the top of the slot and stay there until they get return orders.
- Some lower slots where there is no trading information, your appearance is randomized each time so you get equal opportunity at top spot in the 'slot'
At present, there are 5 slot levels (shown below from highest to lowest in the listings);
- 1 Presently only those that pay to list in this slot
- 3 Full members who send orders into the Petals system
- 5 full Petals Members
- 7 registered Petals members but not Full members
- 9 unregistered florists
