Depending on your
Petals Membership type , you may already have a package of profile options. If not, you can set up your own profile with Petals so that you can market your business as hard as you wish. There may be charges for some options.

Contact information
Presently, please email changes to your business contact information to
hq@petaslnetwork.com including your Member number and business name.
Open / Closed
You are strongly encouraged to mark your business as open or closed for trading via your Profile settings.
You may well be closed for (e.g.);
- public holidays
- annual vacation
- illness or
- because you have run out of flowers at a busy time
Letting your public and florist customers know that you are not trading is a courtesy and will keep their goodwill.
When your profile is marked closed for certain dates, this information is displayed on your
Petals Directory listing so potential customers can avoid contacting you when you are closed. It is also used with the Petals
fire and forget systems to ensure we don't send you an order when you have advised of your closure.

Note: if you fail to advise of your closure and you are sent an order in good faith by Petals or a Member directly, you will be accountable for any costs and problems arising from dissatisfied customers due to (e.g.) non-delivery. |
Promotional Messages
There is room for you to display either or both of a short (50 characters) or long (200 characters) promotional message in your listing on the
Petals Directory. This gives you the chance to tell your customers about your business and any special services and skills you have.
It is a very important way to stand out from other florists listed on the Directory.
You can use any text you wish here as well as HTML (the web's markup language) to (e.g.) bold, underline or colour text. However, you may not use this text for URLs to other websites or to display an email address.
Depending on your promotional package with Petals, this text may or may not be displayed as your trading status changes.
Pricing
You can provide your own minimum prices for several products and services presently;
- bouquets
- arrangements
- sympathy
- dozen roses
- handling and delivery
With the right profile settings, these will be displayed in your listing.
Although Full Members can display their own prices her to attract customers directly to their business, when sending orders long distance via the Petals Exchange you will need to conform to the minimum prices set by Petals Members in a particular country so that pricing of long distance orders by a selling florist is possible with confidence.
Customer Promotion Profile
You can configure which of the various promotional tools you want to display in your Petals Directory listings by changing your profile. There may be charges for some of these services. Please consult hq@petalsnetwork.com for more information on charges.
